Judy Niemeyer and Quiltworx team is coming to Boise!!!
Quiltworx University is an exceptional event that happens twice a year in different places around the US. This event is perfect for both Beginning paper piecers and those that cannot get enough of Judy Niemeyer Paper Piecing! You will get to learn from the Queen of Paper Piecing herself along with Quiltworx Instructors for 5 full days. Come join us as we envelop you in a world of Paper piecing with nightly trunk shows, customer quilts, and Quilt displays that will excite and inspire. This is an experience you don’t want to miss!
Event Project and Kits
Quiltworx University Events are Unique because Quiltworx creates a new Exclusive project where you get to create your own quilt using different elements. You are required to work on the event project (this is not an open sew style) but there will be a variety of sizes and options to chose from! The Best part is Stitch n’ Snip will have your kit cut into strips waiting for you when you arrive. The Kit cost is separate from the event cost, but you do get a 6-month subscription to Quiltster which is included in the event cost. This amazing tool will help you create your unique quilt, or you will have the option of picking a pre-designed kit provided by Quiltworx and Stitch n’ Snip team. You will have access to a lot of Batiks from our wonderful companies like Timeless Treasure, Hoffman Fabrics, Robert Kaufman, Island Batiks, Northcott Batiks, Riley Blake Batik, etc. plus we will have some great cotton collections too!
More information on designs and fabrics will be available
April/May of 2025. Quiltworx will post online and you will also receive an email with the Designs and Quiltster Portal to make your custom Kit or select one already designed.
Venue- The Grove Hotel, Downtown Boise
Stitch n’ Snip is excited to host this amazing event at The Grove Hotel, Downtown Boise Idaho. We will be sewing in the Ballroom with a table for each student, plus cutting and ironing stations. Just down the Hall, Stitch n’ Snip will have a Pop-Up store with everything you could want or need, including kits, fabrics, Batik Wide backings, notions, Quiltworx Patterns, etc. Here you will find Judel and the Stitch n’ Snip team creating and cutting custom kits so you can take home your dream quilt kit with you!!
The Grove Hotel does offer free Shuttle services from Boise Airport to the hotel so if you are flying you will not need to rent a car. Because of the Downtown location, parking is not free at the venue; it is $18 a day self-parking or $25 a day for Valet, so carpool if you can. Breakfast is not included with the Hotels stay, but there are restaurants in the hotel and lots of places within walking distance if you want to see downtown. We will be providing Lunch and Dinner Monday-Thursday and Lunch only on Friday.
Check in time On Sunday the 14th will be from 4pm to 7pm, with a Welcome and Trunk Show starting at 7:30pm. You will then have time to start cutting out papers, so you are ready to go when classes start Monday Morning! Please understand that you will not be able to access the hotel or sewing venue until after 4pm on Sunday the 14th.

The Event Week Overview
Sunday- Check in and get set up in the sewing room and hotels between 4-7pm. Around 7:30 we will do a welcome with a trunk show and introduce Judy Niemeyer, the CI’s, Schedule for the week, & Shopping with specials, Judel and the Stitch n' Snip team and all other info needed for the week. You will be able to view your kit and start cutting your foundation papers that evening so you will be ready for classes Mon morning.
Monday- Thursday you will have an Am class and then lunch. After lunch you will have an afternoon class and then dinner. During or after dinner there will be nightly trunk shows to see some amazing quilts (You are welcome to bring any show and tell JN quilts if desired, optional) After Dinner it is an open sew until Midnight. Included with your kit will be a schedule of what class to attend with which instructor. There will be other demos throughout the week you are also welcome to attend as desired. All Units will be covered, and final construction of the quilt classes will be Friday Am where you can take notes and get any questions answered, so you will be confident to finish your quilt when you leave! Lunch on Friday is the last meal and then you can sew and clean up by 3pm.
Plus, Lots of fun shopping!!! The pop-up store will be available daily and Judel & Stitch n’ Snip team will be working on custom kits as desired. You will get specials and discounts on your purchases at the event! This is a fun and exciting time and hope that you can Join in the fun 😊
Payments
To reserve your space in the Event a NON-REFUNDABLE $400 deposit is required. At Checkout you will decide how you would like to pay the balance of your event ticket. We have 3 options to choose from:
1. Pay in Full- when you check out, you will be charged the $400 and if selected the Pay in full option we will charge your card for the total balance depending on Lodging option selected.
2. 3 Payment Plan- You will be charged $400 at checkout, then On March 14th you will be charged $600 as a second Non-Refundable Deposit, and last on June 14th you will be charged the balance of your event ticket, prices vary depending on lodging option selected.
3. Monthly Payment Plan- You will be charged $400 at checkout and then each month after signing up, you will be charged $200 per month. On June 14th you will be charged the remaining balance, prices vary depending on lodging option selected. (If you Sign up After December, 2024, The Monthly Payment will be $400 per month with the balance remaining charged on June 14th)
Stitch n’ Snip Quiltworx University Event Cancellation Policy:
Before booking with Stitch n’ Snip Events, please read our cancellation policy carefully!
Your $400 deposit is due at signup to secure your registration and is non-refundable.
A second $600, non-refundable deposit is due 6 months prior to the start date for your event.
The final payment, which must cover your remaining balance, is due 90 days prior to the start date for your event.
Cancellations made more than 6 months prior to the event forfeit the $400 deposit.
Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the event forfeit the $1000 deposits.
Any cancellations made within 90 days of the event will forfeit all paid fees.
We understand that sometimes illness and tragedy occur at the last minute and may make it impossible for you to attend the Event. We understand that there are circumstances beyond your control, but it also leaves us with a vacancy that we are unable to fill and still have to pay for your space at the venue.
